Digital Marketing Coordinator | World Expeditions 

Hybrid, Full time position, Marketing Team

$68,000 - $70,000 + super, (plus other benefits)

Location: Sydney CBD (Ability to work remotely)

This exciting position will require you to be comfortable in a fast-paced environment, tech savvy, have talented writing skills, and willing to go the extra mile to ensure our expedition meets our objectives.

To be considered, you must have at least 3 years of social media and content creation experience to effectively communicate our USP’s through a variety of online and traditional channels. 

We want someone who isn’t afraid to experiment, can pitch new ideas and can proactively improve the messaging of products and engage with our audiences.

Reporting to and working closely with the Marketing Director, you’ll be part of an experienced team of marketing and PR professionals with direct responsibility for:

  • Content creation for website landing pages, blogs and social media
  • Growing followers and increasing engagement on our social media channels
  • Writing and preparing EDMs
  • Rolling out email automations
  • Assisting in marketing campaigns
  • Implementing content and social media strategies
  • Handling special projects with strategic partners
  • Optimising website pages to improve SEO and UX
  • Digging into data insights to report and analyse campaigns and traffic
  • Coordinating special events, information sessions and trade show booths
  • Maintaining a consistent tone of voice as set out in the brand guidelines
  • Overseeing video or content production projects

To be successful in this position:

  • You are a concise communicator, both written and verbal

  • You are comfortable with website backend management (CMS experience desirable), using email marketing systems and Google Analytics 
  • You are a social whiz with a knowledge of social media tools and techniques (Facebook Suite and Ads Manager experience highly desirable) 
  • Your time management and organisational skills are second nature
  • You can work autonomously and collaboratively 
  • You can juggle multiple tasks and prioritise competing deadlines
  • You have a positive attitude, sense of humour and are a team player
  • You have the ability to spot trending opportunities
  • You create great working relationships with all levels within the company and across multiple disciplines

THE PACKAGE:

Product Coordinator | World Expeditions 

Full time position, Operations Team

$65,000 plus super subject to experience, (plus other travel benefits)

Adventure Product Coordinator – World Expeditions

Working closely with the Operations Manager, we are seeking the expertise of an experienced industry professional to manage a suite of trips which will vary depending on experience, alongside a team of passionate destination managers. We're seeking full-time staff, based in our Sydney offices in a hybrid role which will include the ability to work remotely at times.

You’ll be responsible for (but not limited to):

  • Managing a suite of trips, from inception to execution
  • Supporting sales staff with group and FIT arrangements in your region
  • Liaising with ground operators in various areas on itineraries, costs, quality controls, private groups, and positive impact projects
  • Writing trip copy for inclusion in brochures/website
  • Writing trip notes and pre-departure information for each trip
  • Assessing feedback from client questionnaires and responding to same
  • Troubleshooting
  • Product comparisons
  • Ensuring trips in the field operate to the highest environmental and safety standards
  • Creating groundbreaking itineraries which satisfy our travellers' thirst for adventure

To be considered for this position you will need to demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Minimum of 3 years of travel industry experience, preferably in a similar role
  • Comprehensive firsthand travel experience, including multi-day treks to many World Expeditions destinations, such as Nepal, India, South America, Africa, and Asia
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to use initiative and think laterally
  • Great written and verbal communication, organisational, and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in Office 365 suite (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and some CMS experience desirable, along with self-sufficiency and capacity to learn systems quickly
  • A drive to contribute positively to the team, capacity to build a strong rapport with stakeholders, and to participate in conferences, info nights, and events
  • A genuine passion for adventure travel and the capacity to translate this into creating innovative itineraries which stretch the edges of adventure
  • A passion for our style of active travel is a must (make sure you include where you have travelled to in your resume).
