    'I have been working for World Expeditions for a very long time, I can't even remember what year I started. I have worked with the company predominately hiking in Central Australia (Larapinta Trail/Uluru/Watarrka NP), the Top End (Kakadu/Jatbula Trail/Bungle Bungles), WA (Bibbulum Track/Cape to Cape Track), SA (Flinders Ranges), Tasmania (variety of different tracks/trips), Ethiopia's Simien Mountains and New Zealand (North and South Islands on a variety of cycling and hiking trips).

    'One of the things I love about working with World Expeditions is having the opportunity to connect with a lot of our clients and, through that, we get to share the experience they have of seeing somewhere new for the first time.     'This is my first year (2021) with World Expeditions. During the winter season I have been working in Central Australia on the Larapinta Classic in Comfort, Best of Larapinta and End to End Larapinta trips.

    'I am just about to make the move down to Tasmania where I have been given the opportunity to work for the Tasmanian branch of the company, Tasmanian Expeditions.

    'I have been working with World Expeditions since 2017 when I was just a fresh faced 20-year-old straight out of TAFE. I have always had a passion for travel and World Expeditions has given me the opportunity to explore my own country.

    'I have been working predominantly in Central Australia (Larapinta Trail/Uluru/Watarrka NP), Top End (Kakadu/Jatbula Trail/Bungle Bungles), SA (Flinders Ranges) and in various locations around Tasmania.

    'A few years ago, I was given the chance to step into a management role for Australian Walking Holidays, which gave me the chance to develop and learn a whole new range of skills. This year, I am stepping into a new role again as the National Product Manager.

    'I love working for World Expeditions because of the amazing team and support I have behind me. This company has given me the opportunity to grow and learn in ways I couldn't have even dreamed of when first starting out.

    'I have been working for World Expeditions since 2019 on the Larapinta Trail, hiking with groups on six-day Classic Larapinta trips, and taking some of the art expeditions to beautiful locations throughout the West MacDonnell Ranges.

    'I love working for World Expeditions because I have so much fun on the trips. The banter with other guides keeps me laughing for days, and I have great conversations with clients.     SOREN KRUSE LEDET



    'I am an Australian high-altitude mountaineer, having completed over 60 expeditions in the last 25 years. For over 20 years I have worked closely with World Expeditions developing and guiding our more challenging treks and climbs in Nepal, Bhutan, Pakistan, Central Asia and South America.

    'I love working as part of a team while at the same time being self-sufficient, it is very rewarding. Bottom line is I just love being in the mountains. My most memorable mountaineering expeditions would have to be Everest in 2011, but my first ascent of Ama Dablam in 2004 with my Nepali climbing partner Dhana Rai is a close second.

    In 2020, when international borders closed I set my sights on adventures closer to home. I have continued working for World Expeditions as a canyoning guide with Blue Mountains Adventure Company and a trekking guide on the Larapinta for Australian Walking Holidays.

    It has been very rewarding to be given the opportunity to learn about our domestic trips and work with our amazing domestic crew. Soon I hope to be leading some expeditions with World Expeditions in Tasmania.'
